Federal Way faces an urgent public safety challenge: crime rates here are among the highest in the nation, with each of us at a 1 in 17 risk of becoming a victim. As someone who cares deeply about our community, I believe it’s time to move past blame and take bold action.

My plan to improve safety includes:

  • Stronger Community Policing: More neighborhood patrols and deeper engagement between officers and residents.
  • Smart Prevention & Technology: Better street lighting, security cameras in high-risk areas, and data-driven deployment of police resources.
  • Addressing Root Causes: Investments in youth programs, mental health support, and job training to prevent crime before it starts.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Working closely with local businesses and community groups so everyone feels empowered to keep our city safe.

We deserve neighborhoods where families can thrive without fear, and I’m committed to making that a reality. Let’s work together to create a safer, more united Federal Way.
